Trained in classical and contemporary dance, Truman Lemire began his ballet education with the Huntsville Community Ballet before advancing his training at the Pacific Northwest Ballet, Austin Ballet, the School of American Ballet, and the Paris Opera Ballet, where he had the honor of studying personally with Élisabeth Platel.
Truman’s foundation is in classical ballet technique, but he is equally versed in modern, jazz, and tap dance. He has expanded his contemporary approach through summer intensives with dancers from both William Forsythe and Crystal Pite, integrating new-school movement styles into his repertoire.
His training reflects his commitment to both tradition and innovation in dance.
